Macron - New Kit Supplier
“I have recently led, with Liam Browning, the process to appoint our kit supplier for the next 3 years. This has been an exhaustive process involving multiple submissions and interviews with 5 shortlisted suppliers. I am delighted to announce that our Board has unanimously decided to appoint Macron as our new kit supplier. Macron will be well known to many of you a leading brand in sportswear provision. Amongst others, they supply Northampton Saints, Italy, Wales and Scotland. We are convinced that they offer the best all round package to meet the Club’s strategic objectives. Their local office is currently based in Blofield which will facilitate a local opportunity to check sizes and clothing items before purchase.
The new Club shop will go online this Friday, 8th March when you will be able to purchase items from a wide selection. The Club will benefit from cash back for all online orders made.
Please note that there will be lead-in period of no more than 30 days for everything apart from playing shirts. We have to revise the shirt design in any event as our sponsors change going into next season. The new playing shirts will be available very soon but as sublimated items carry a longer lead-in period. Although the Club will, as previously, purchase a fixed number of shirts for youth and senior squads, in order for minis shirts to be available for next season, all orders will need to be made by the end of June. The Club will only hold very limited numbers of minis shirts in stock so it is crucial that you order early to avoid disappointment. Shirts for sizing purposes will be available at the Club and in addition Macron will undertake a sizing session one Sunday before the end of the season.
No announcement would be complete without me mentioning Badger. They have provided huge support to the Club over many years and Julian, Monisha and Jane have done a tremendous job meeting our needs. Although we think this is the right time for a change, I would like to personally thank everyone at Badger for their support and friendship.”
